This small texture mod is basically the splash screens from GTA Liberty City Stories converted to GTA III. No quality was lost in the conversion process and they are as they appear in LCS for the PS2.
How to Install:
1.)Navigate to your GTA 3 main directory.
2.)Open the folder names, 'txd'.
3.)Copy,
'SPLASH1.TXD,
SPLASH2.TXD
SPLASH3.TXD'
to the folder.
4.)When asked if you want to replace the files, click, "Yes".
5.)Run the game and enjoy the new style.

Dustin Holden for YAIE, which I used to open the .IMG archives and extract the .CHK texture files.
Aru for LCS/VCS Tex, which I used to extract the textures from the .CHK files to a usable format.
And of course Rockstar Games for making the game in the first place.
