Description
Check clip at Rockstar Social Club TV: https://tv.rockstargames.com/videos/view/id/0C878F0A4A4702BE.
This is a realism mod for making car/bike driving in GTA IV fun again. Got fed up with way too slow vehicles that additionally corner and brake like space shuttle. Note that games overall balance between different vehicles is maintained, so chases fell similar, only faster and maybe not so frustrating picking every pedestrian or trashcan from sidewalk. This is not a super car mod that turns every car as Viper. Note also that this mod is tested on keyboard/mouse and steering wheel (never use pad for driving).
Edited handling factors:
- decreased drag (C)
- increased top speeds (Tv)
- increased brake force (Tb)
- increased traction curve max [Wc+]
- increased traction curve min [Wc-]
- increased traction curve lateral [Wc-]
- decreased traction spring delta max [Ws+].
Other values are untouched (names, suspension, damage... ) Installation:
- Make sure that you have installed patch that enables you to run GTAIV modded files prior to ANY mod installations or your game will just silently crash upon start.
Recommended: Aru's GTA4 - File modding ability patch (http://www.quackler.com/ or http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=380102).
- It's recommended that you always backup files that you are changing/editing.
- Just drop handling.dat file to ... GTAIV/common/data/ folder and replace file that's there.
- Done.

Good Job!... I´ll try it... I tried to increase the speed but I failed :barf: :sui: , now when I use the car I edited, it only drags in its place jajaja...

You realize that the real-life counterparts of the cars in GTA drive very similarly...it's just a matter of which car and how much torque or engine power it has.

Version 1.0 update
Realized that steering lock (Ts) wasn't reason for lazy turning, rather than traction values. So steering lock values are reverted to default. Also some minor tweaks.
