Description

The latest version is: v0.9.7.3.

Attention! Now all Vice exes are supported!
(This is a bit untested at present though.)

With the new Version v0.9.7.3 two additional bugs are fixed, including a bug that occured when firing shotguns; it also fixes a bug that occured when firing a smg from a bike.

Please note his mod is under constant development. Next up will be selective fire options.

Updated to v0.973 now, includes configurable zoom (zoom bounds, zoom speed, initial zoom), customizable rate of fire (only limited by your framerate) and the new "drama cam", that is, a true first-person shooter mode, where the player, the weapons, the gun smoke, the muzzle flash, etc are visible.
In order to take advantage of great zoom and high ranges, you'll need my VC:Traffic mod, which can be found here .

This mod changes the standard player aiming controls of your PC joypad so that Vice City essentially plays like a console First-Person Shooter. By pressing and releasing the aim button of your joypad you change into first person mode; you will no longer need to keep aim pressed to stay in that mode however. Firing in fps mode happens with the aim button, running and strafing with the left analog stick, aiming with the right one. You leave the fps mode with the firing button, what would have been circle on a PS2 controller, I believe.

Also, this mod enables more configuration than weapon.dat allows. At present, configuration of recoil, sniper sights and laser targetting, as well as buckshot and the above mentioned new features are supported, more is still to come.

There's two versions in this download, the second for those people like me who didn't get the right analog stick to work for Vice previously, try your luck with gta_fps2, I can't *guarantee* it will work for you with this one though.

If anyone wants to help me develop realistic recoil/weapon values, please pm me.

Also, in the wake of Virginia Tech shootings, I have added some important remarks in the readme. Read them if you too are one of Cho's brothers or sisters.
