Mark White isn't a hero, he isn't a one man army. He isn't after an evil supervillain, or looking to save the world from zombies. The only thing he is staying alive for is to get home to his love, Rose Merkling, before the disease gets there first.

From the Creator of the Codename: Zulu series, comes a brand new mission series: Infection

Guide Mark as he tries to find a way across San Andreas to his home and his love, all the while fighting off hordes of infected beings, negotiating with clans, and battling his biggest fear - that he will not make it.

This is the story of a human being, with human strengths, and human faults. Living in a world fast descending into one where the dead humans become monsters, and the living humans lose themselves to insanity, desperation, and murderous instinct.

This will not be your usual shoot-em-up zombie apocalypse series, nor will it be anything you've ever expected from DYOM...

If you want a story, then today, you're going to get one.


This is my second DYOM series. After taking a break from DYOM following the completion of Codename: Zulu (link), I've returned to DYOM with this series.

In this DYOM adventure, you shall take control of Mark White, a young man engaged to his love named Rose Merkling. Mark sets off on a trip from Bayside to Los Santos following a job offer that could help make Rose and Mark's dreams come true.

However, this normal life and bright future is cut short as Los Santos is suddenly put under quarantine. As the authorities and even the military began to fail to suppress a strange infection, Mark begins to feel a great sense of fear that he shall never see Rose again. When all hell breaks loose, and Mark begins his daunting journey, Mark vows that he shall get to Rose before the infection does, and save her from it.

You shall help him keep this vow.


As always, I recommend reading the ReadMe for important information on the series, including tips, handy DYOM tricks, and because you should read ReadMes!

Difficulty will vary in each mission, as each scenario shall pose different levels of threat. Fighting a wave of Infected with an AK47 is more difficult than driving a bus, for example. Plus, I think a more varied difficulty level from the start shall better capture the essence of "Fighting for survival" and emphasise the fact that Mark is no super-human, and has his limits.
