Some information about the original vehicle
The original (real life) road-legal version was built by Andy Saunders in the 1980s. I built this 3D model as a tribute to his original creation. It features a Reliant Regal chassis, strapped into a Monbar 146 speedboat, with Citroen 2CV headlights, VW Beetle indicators, and Hillman Imp rear lights, to name a few parts. Many thanks to Andy Saunders for the concept, for sending me some very useful reference photos, and for giving me permission to make this :) Here is Andy's website, showing photos of the real thing Original concept by Andy Saunders 3D model and textures by Chong McBong

Good mood, but the tutorial in the readme file is a bit wrong. You should not just put the files "comet.dff" and "comet.txd" in the "gta3.img" file, rather you should find the old files with the same name and replace them with the new ones. All in all, a good mod. :cookie: :cookie:

lots of people have asked me to make this work on the water. the reason that it does not, is that its based on a real road-going vehicle (see link in description above for info). According to Jeremy Clarkson, who drove and reviewed the real Runaground, it would "sink like a church" if it went in the water (as it has 3 massive holes in the hull). Its only for the road, its supposed to be out-of-place and ironic i suppose :p

My models are not made to be edited. i make them so you can drive them. (this is why i lock my files) If you want to edit or convert, send me an email, and we will talk about it :p

thanks dude, i like "stage fright", i will look for some more info about it :p
The link in my last comment is to a pretty decent side shot & with some editing, could be good for a texture. I know the original builder was Jack Keef, finding him may not be so easy. There is a Stage Fright in the Peterson museum ( not sure if it's the original though ) I did find this Forum Thread with some more pics.
