At first, a little bit of history!
In the early 1950s, with Cold War tensions on the rise, the U.S. military desired better strategic reconnaissance to help determine Soviet capabilities and intentions. The existing reconnaissance aircraft, primarily bombers converted for reconnaissance duty, were vulnerable to anti-aircraft artillery, missiles, and fighters. It was thought an aircraft that could fly at 70, 000 feet (21, 000 m) would be beyond the reach of Soviet fighters, missiles, and even radar. This would allow overflights (knowingly violating a country's airspace) to take aerial photographs.
And now about the mod!
I've had many questions about when I would finally release the Lockheed U-2.
Looks like many people are interested in this plane! I'm glad about that, otherwise my work would be for nothing!
Well, today I made the decision to release it. I hope you will all enjoy the plane, as it should be done!
Two versions will be uploaded here, a grey/black plane and the blue/dark blue plane.
Please enjoy!

Yes, it has been used in Call of Duty: Black Ops. But I didn't make it because of that, but just because I like the plane. So I made the U-2, because it hasn't been done yet... Pretty strange, lol!
