Description


The latest version is: v0.9.2.1.

v0.9.2.1 fixes a glitch that occured during taxi missions due to the increased ped ranges. See the readme for details.

(VC:Traffic is supposed to work for all versions!)

This mod is planned as the second installment in a series of mods to make VC more customizable for modders, called VC.Config.

VC:Traffic itself targets customization of traffic and peds behaviour in Vice City.
At present the list of features of this mod is long:
-raising the limits for spawned vehicles and peds to your liking
-changing spawn/despawn/visibility ranges for peds and vehicles to a many-fold of the original ranges, thereby preventing that you turn around and a ped or car nearby is suddenly gone
-raising the top speed of all vehicles by a global factor
-enabling a fourth speed setting for vehicle path nodes in paths.ipl and allowing to set the speed factor for each setting
-traffic density values for both peds and vehicles depending on daytime; this way you can give your city it's own pulse, allowing for traffic jams, etc
-various ways to customize driver behaviour, how fast peds of a certain pedtype will drive, how likely they are to rush through traffic and how fast they will do that, how fast they'll flee from enemy fire or try to ram your vehicle, how they'll respond to being shot at, passengers fleeing burning vehicles and much more
-rudimentary support of controlling gangs, that is the size of groups in which they get spawned and whether they're chatting or just walking around.
-also now a how-to has been included and a sample paths.ipl file to demonstrate the new node speeds


Please note that this mod continues to remain under development.

(Undocumented) source code has also been included.

People, please give a good vc_traffic.cfg! With a normal amount of pedestrians and vehicles. I have a problem with the number of pedestrians... Configure fails. Please help. Sorry for my bad English

That's the thing i've been searching for like forewer!! Thank you so much man, it's absolutely awesome!! There is only one thing i would like to suggest, if it's possible to make parked car spawn distance further, coz they are the only thing that actaully appears inyourface style :D :r*:

To install this mod is just paste the files into Vice City folder, right? Cause I did that and hadn't note any difference :cry:

This mod is completely amazing! Finally the old rockstar bug of cars disappearing just because you move the mouse is solved! I wanna know if exists a similar mod for gta sa.
