GTASOLbeta Online 68.9 (LimpBull) Released
Clients and Server, Copyright 2012 Justin (Regex)
Please note: GTASOL Online has been discontinued and is no longer in development.
Please do not report any bugs that you may find with this version as its no longer supported.
The mod will not work without the custom executable which has been supplied AND the SOL Online client.
This mod does not work with Vice City download via Steam or any Pirated copy.
Please read the news thread before posting your questions about this discontinued release.
To Install the mod download the SOL mod from these links.

To get SOL running:
[*]Install a clean version of Vice City and remove the read-only flag from all the files.
[*]Run the game and adjust your settings using the main menu.
[*]Download and copy the latest SOL mod contents into the Vice City folder.
Download either the GTASOL online client 68.9 or GTASOL online client GTASOL_alternate
Unpack your version of SOL-O and copy these files into your Vice City folder.
To get SOL-O running:
[*]Extract and replace all of the files supplied into your newly created SOL directory with the contents of this archive.
[*]If you have the alternate version run the "solo_keys.reg" file (you can delete this file once this step has been completed).
[*]In your (My) Documents directory, locate a directory called "GTA State of Liberty User Files" (if you cannot find it, create the directory manually).
[*]Copy "gta_vc.set" from your "GTA Vice City User Files" (make sure your settings are to your liking beforehand by going into Vice City single-player mode and making the necessary amendments) and paste it into your "GTA State of Liberty User Files" directory.
[*]Rename the copied "gta_vc.set" file to "game_settings.dat" (confirm all warning prompts - it's okay, it won't bite).
[*]The server IP/DNS and port configuration is located in your "client_temp.cfg" file in the root State of Liberty directory. This has been preset for you to "events.ukscifi.net:8081".
[*]In the Server folder you will find a server.exe that you can run locally on your machine. open the cfg folder and make sure the port is set to 8081.
[*]Run the "SOLLauncher.exe" file and set the "SOLO Directory" and "Script Directory" to your State of Liberty root directory (make sure to get the directory correct - if you have a ton of Vice City or State of Liberty directories, this can get confusing).
[*]Run the game by clicking the "Launch SOL-O" button.
NOTE: Please make sure you follow these steps correctly. If you cannot launch the game after completing these steps, check that your State of Liberty directory was converted from a CLEAN Vice City directory in the first place.
I will release the older version of GTA SOL Online because this version does not work for everyone.
Or maybe he has a wooden PC and cannot run GTAVC, but runs GTASA at a maximum 20 - 25 FPS rate, and thinks that GTASA is the best GTA game ever.
But honestly,
I really appreciate the mod that GTA SOL team is making. They put a heaping whole lot of work into it and I just cannot wait. I saloute you guys on your cooperation and hard work.
Wow, this guy says that mod sucks, yet he has only done retexture modifications.
Maybe he doesn't have the mental capacity of how much of a break through in modding this really is...
