GTA IV Subway Train with new interior textures and new sounds
(need OpenIV / SparkIV to replace the original files)




= Description =
GTA IV Subway Train with new interior textures and new sounds special for you. This is the test version of my Subway Train Replacement Mod, full version of which (new 3D-model) I will publish as soon as I can understand converting process from *.wtf 3d-models to Autodesk Maya and contrary. Anyway, this version mod is fully finished and working well. It includes the new sounds of trains, new textures in 1024x1024 pixels resolution (old textures had 512x512 px).

= Installation: =
1. Make backups of the following game files:
 - "Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\pc\models\cdimages\vehicle.img"
 - "Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\pc\audio\Sfx\resident.rpf"
2. Download and install the latest version of the SparkIV (http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=384933) and run it
3. Extract files from the "SubwayTrainReplacement_v0.99.rar" archive
4. Then open in SparkIV "Grand Theft Auto IV\pc\models\cdimages\vehicle.img"
5. Select "subway_hi.wtd" and click on "Import button". Find new "subway_hi.wtd" from the our archive. Click on "Save" button.
6. Select "subway_lo.wtd" and click on "Import button". Find new "subway_hi.wtd" from the our archive. Click on "Save" button.
7. Then open in SparkIV "Grand Theft Auto IV\pc\audio\Sfx\resident.rpf". Select "RESIDENT" on the left menu list. Select "TRAIN.ivaud" in the main list and click on "Import button". Find new "TRAIN.ivaud" from the our archive. Click on "Save" button.

You can make the trash transparent by setting the trash's texture to alpha 255.

@UltimateGTR, NYC Trains do not have trash or rubbish in them. Anyway nice mod

Yes, it is LC train. Billboards with advertising from gta iv resources too. I have not used NYC elements. All stations remained unchanged.

You have not yet tried this mod, but already marking it. :colgate: Or does NYC trains got rubbish in reality too? Sometimes. In future my Train 3D-model everything will look different from this. Can someone help with translation format *.wft to Collada? I would be pleased. How did you change the sounds? This is a sound processing. Trains in GTA IV has many limitations in sound scripts. I'm not a programmer, but I tried to make train sound more realistic on the design level. [i]how do you change the resolution?[i] Use forum's search.

New sound system for trains. Replaced the old sounds, added new ones.
