v2.0 In Development
GTA Backup 2.0 is now in developemnt and will include features such as; Support for GTA 1, London & GTA 2, ASI launcher (thanks SilentPL for the ideas and help), other additional small features and advanced settings and a modification backup utility.
If you have any ideas or suggestions please let me know.
GTA V Background Pack
Everyone seems to be getting excited with GTA V almost here. I've had a few requests/suggestions for GTA V images so put together a pack of 6 backgrounds to customize your GTA Backup. The file should be approved here soon but in the meantime it can be downloaded from http://www.murphys-place.co.uk/gta_backup/
v1.5.0 On Hold
I have recently moved my final Windows machine to Linux. Although this is good for me and many of my other projects, it means all my Visual Studio based projects are on hold.
GTA Backup however is one of the few that I do plan to migrate to another language and continue work on. This will not only allow me to continue the project, but will also allow me to support the Linux GTA players (who play with using WINE).
I expect to have GTA Backup rewritten in another language by Feb 2013, so expect beta versions of 1.5.0 around March.
I will be needing Windows testers, so if you currently use GTA Backup and want to help out, PM me and let me know.
v1.4.0 Released
Version 1.4.0 has been released. This version adds the ability to backup your saved games while you play! The program will check for changes every 15 min, and backup if needed.
v1.3.1 Released
Version 1.3.1 has been released. This version sorts out a small problem some people had with the program crashing when they accidentally click the launch button for a game they did not have installed.
A "Is Installed" settings has been added for each game. By default this is set to false, so you will need to edit the settings to choose what GTA games you have installed on your system.
v1.3.0 Released
Version 1.3.0 has been released.
This version now has a GUI to change the settings, making life much easier for everyone.
IV & EFLC will require you to setup you saved game location (see the Read Me.txt file for details), but as long as you installed your games with default settings everything should be ready to go.
I have also added a button in the game settings to automatically create a shortcut on your desktop which will allow you to launch your game without seeing the GTA - Backup window, but still automatically backup your games.
As you may notice GTA Garage is still a bit slow in putting my update on. In the mean time you can get GTA - Backup from my website (see above for link).
v1.2.0 Released
Version 1.2.0 has been released. This version now allows you to setup shortcuts to launch your games without having to see the Grand Theft Auto - Backup window and select which game to launch. So now you can launch your games as you used to without even having to think about Grand Theft Auto - Backup, but still be safe in the knowledge that your saved games are all backed up.
v1.1.0 Released
Version 1.1.0 has been released. This version has a new system for organizing your backups, as well as the ability to check if a backup has actually changed before it makes a backup. As well as this, there are a few bug fixes in both the application and settings files.
