this is a complete overhaul of GTA IV handling system to better represent the in game cars with their real life counter parts CHANGES -top speed changes to every vehicle to better represent their real life counter parts -same goes for acceleration, which now enables you to "peel out" when at full throttle from a standing start -increase steering locks for all cars -decreased drag (now cars will reach newly assigned top speeds) -changed the amount of gears most cars have to represent their real life counter parts -since accel is fixed on most cars it will now allow you to DRIFT THEM no changes where made to traction of cars and bikes -SUV's and Trucks traction has been change so they will be able to roll over easily VERSION 0.18b released! -not much really changed here just had to fix some cars that i believe should be font wheel drive -reworked the SUV's and trucks again i think they flipped to easily in 0.17b VERSION 0.19b release! -nothing in handling was changed, just included L8ty's double damage mod for added realism (credits go out to L8ty for the awesome damage, which will be included in every release from now on) Release Candidate 1 preview is out now -continued work on the SUV's for realistic roll over -fixed some cars that had way to much body roll IMO -does not include L8ty's finished double damage mod (hence the name preview) Release Candidate 2 -even more done to suvs for realistic roll overs -turbo sounds for the comet, sentinel, and blista compact -dukes and saber gt pop wheelies -mass to every vehicle has been changed to better reflect their real life counter part Release Candidate 3 -DUKES AND SABER DONT POP WHEELIES ANY MORE! by popular demand -continued work suv's and larger trucks for realistic roll overs Release Candidate 4 -worked on a some cars that suspension felt a bit too soft -reworked handling on all SUV's and pick up trucks -all cars and bikes now have better brakes (traffic doesnt cause fender benders at red lights anymore) *notes* -i recommend a xbox controller or any other type of trigger controller for the best driving experience, since light pressure on the gas will be needed when driving high powered cars to minimize wheel spin. (i.e. major wheel spin will occur when you smash the throttle) -since the cars are much faster you will find your self flying out the windshield more often :-D -best used in conjunction with the "real car names" mod (who's the author to that mod?, i want to speak with him to combine the mods i think it would be cool) -also you my want to have completed the game since the damage mod affects certain scripted game events (i will post a version without l8ty's damage mod)

Could you lower the acceleration on the cars so that its easier to use with a keyboard?

I like this mod a lot but I don't have a working controller for my PC so I am stuck with using the keyboard. Whenever I drive any of the faster vehicles, its hard to keep the tires from spinning and the car from sliding all over the place. As another poster asked, could you make a version better suited for keyboard users?

I don't like the superdamage-thing, it just makes no sense, why would I like to get my car to explode more easily? I'd prefer the other damage-thing that makes your car crashed outside but doesn't destroy it inside, I also noticed a lot of cars were lowered, which just looked ugly, I'm not sure if this was supposed to. The drifting is made well and I like the brakes, but almost everything else is just useless for me.

Great to see there is still work going on for this mod. Just thought I'd mention that I'm finding the bikes still a bit tricky. The slightest touch at the slowest speed can still make you fall off them. The Sanchez especially should be allot tougher, considering it's the one you'll must likely be doing tricks in.

just uploaded RC7, added anti lock brakes to alot if not all newer model cars and overall better brakes for those without ABS, stiffen up suspension on some of the cars, trucks and SUV's are pretty hard to roll over but they still do if you push them hard enough. . . hope every one enjoys this as much as i do

im using the RC7 and i think that SUV's and some cars (cabs for example) roll over to easily... with SUV's specially, you almost have to do turns the old way... which means, almost stopped! overall it's a great mod. the driving experience has been greatly increased. keep up the good work! ;)

Should we assume that this mod is compatible with any game version?

It has now been one year since Rockstar Games released the first DLC content for Grand Theft Auto IV titled The Lost and Damned. The DLC also became available as apart of the Episodes from Liberty City collection at a later point in the same year. In this title players were able to take control of Johnny Klebitz, the Vice-President of The Lost M.C. Alderney Charter, a character who is seen is Grand Theft Auto IV a couple of times and is deeply involved with his own problems surrounding his gang and its members. Upon its original release on Xbox Live, The Lost and Damned was quite a success for Rockstar Games with few reviewers actually saying this is how DLC SHOULD be done. Rather than adding small things to the game, Rockstar Games added a whole other side to Liberty City with new Characters, Vehicles, Music, Weapons, etc, that gave off a totally different feeling compared to what players experienced with Niko Bellic. With Episodes from Liberty City coming out next month for the PlayStation 3 and PC Gamers, I can assure you that this part of the DLC is very satisfying and very well made with a brilliant story backing it; it certainly is something to look forward to playing on the 30th of March! For those of you who have already played the game, feel free to tell us your favorite things such as Missions, Songs, Best Gang Shoot Out you've had, etc in the comments!

So listen hazeyo, you've obviously invested a lot of time and effort into this, so I'll just say this once: you're an idiot! Get a F-ing dictionary and look up the word 'realistic'!
