Most models were created from scratch in 3dsmax. Textures are all done in photoshop. 1 Wheel has been converted over from VC. some wheels come with extra
textures that can be changed with txdworkshop. The extra textures have to be downloaded separately due to the filesize...
Please don't email or PM me with questions about how to use this mod, or telling me the wheels are too big or wide or whatever.
I tested it thoroughly, and it's all fairly simple, if you take time to read my explanation at the bottom of this document (Installation instructions).
Polycount for the wheels is between 1200 - 2700 triangles per wheel, so I guess it's not too bad.
Yes...I seem to have the same problem as noob there. I have the TXD Workshop, but I have no idea how to install the textures. Could you possibly provide us with a link or short explination as to how we can install the textures? It already took a long time to install the wheels and I really don't want to uninstall these wonderful creations.
I downloaded this mod, and in the Readme, it says " - Now you need to edit veh_mods.dat which is located in your datamapsveh_mods folder. You will find an entry in there for each wheel...
change "vehicle" into wheel_*.* for each entry..."
The file I get in that folder is an IDE file. Is something wrong, or what?
1.if you dotn want white wheels (afcourse you don't) go to gtasanandreas/data/maps/veh_mods folder where you find a file called veh_mods open it with notepad or wordpad and find the filles which begin with wheel_... in the place is the name like wheel_gn1 and after this goes word vehicle (wheel_gn1, vehicle), delete the word vehicle and paste in to the spot where he was the word before etc. (wheel_gn1, wheel_gn1) dont edit the numbers which go in front of those two words! thats all solution for your white problem...
