btw with the new version will you be able to change the bullettime speed? on the last version it was a little bit too slow for me iNemo commented over 14 years ago: Kuppih: woopz ... there's always software keyboard in windows
delta_storm2152: well thanks for the tip, I did some research and found the natives to achieve the effect (not thanks to awwu tho, he's not able to answer simple questions) but it's useless, what you are talking about is just move speed multiplier increase, the other anims like jump, fall etc are still same speed, and more the physics is all screwed up. I believe true niko "time-scale-independence" is not possible due to engine limitations..
at least I got around this mod again and updated it a bit I find the best way to get Niko running full speed in bullet time is just to increase his walk/run rate. Without bullet time it look stupid because his legs are moving superfast, but with bullet time on it looks like you're running completely normal, yet everything around you is slow motion still. Firing animations remain slower still, same with punches but it's not that noticable. I use Awwu's in-game trainer to get this effect all the time using keybind to go in and out of bullet time and change run rate on the fly. It's very cool, especially if you edit weaponinfo.xml to give yourself a super punch.
Generally 2.2 run rate multiplier makes Niko run normal speed when bullet time is running at 50%. If this kind of technique could be applied to this bullet time mod, where the walk/run rate can be calculated and adjusted according to the bullet time speed, that would be awesome. Being able to keybind the walk rate on/off would be even better so you can adjust when Niko is running super speed in bullet time, or just normal slow-mo.
Just an idea for the author and anyone who wants to get that effect.
I do have one larger issue with every bullet time mod I have no solution for however. Grenade timers do not adjust to the speed of the bullettime, meaning even if your running the game at 10% speed, the grenade will still explode in 5 regular seconds, not accounting for the game speed. Anyone know if there is a way around that? Honestly I don't think there is since fuse timer seems to run on it's own clock regardless of ingame speed Kuppih commented over 14 years ago: Whats the diffrence between this mode and the other bullettimemodes?
