Description

Here's a new loading screen for GTA IV. I've created it through the simple process of creating a scaled .PNG image (with the IV logo on a black background, along with 'LOADING' in white font underneath). This has been added to every image within 'loadingscreens.wtd' texture file within the 'textures' folder (a sub-folder of the 'pc' folder in the main GTA IV directory).

This has been created using Paint.net to modify the image, and Spark IV to import the image into each texture within the 'loadingscreens.wtd' file.

The basis of this loading screen is a single image, depicting the loading process. It will repeatedly fade in and out, accompanied by the GTA IV default loading screen music.

I will be working on numerous versions of this loading screen, in which I hope to branch out and incorporate more creative designs over time.

This loading screen can be seen in the video below:
How to install: > Extract the 'loadingscreens.wtd' file from the .zip folder, downloaded from this site. Place it somewhere easy to find (such as the Desktop). > Open your GTA IV directory folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV) > Navigate to the 'pc' folder, and then select the 'textures' folder, double-clicking on it to open it up. > Either drag the 'loadingscreens.wtd' file from your desktop into the folder, or copy & paste it into the folder. > Run the game as usual, and you should see the loading screen(s) have changed. Current version: 1.00 Changelog: - Version 1.0 uploaded (21/03/2011) Credits: - aru (Spark IV - used to make this mod) - Rockstar Games (Textures used from website)
