Well, this is a beta, just so I can get it out the door while I fiddle with the more complex stuff.
- Suspension arms don't move
- No car body mods yet
- Back tyres look merged into one huge wheel on each side (duplicate of front wheels screws it up...)
- No custom col file (the current one is pretty accurate anyway)
Other than these, it's all good to go. You probably won't even notice.
Unless you cheat to spawn a phoniex , you need to be up to and own Wangs autos . There is races behind it by the pay n spray red marker . The San fierro hills race you start the race in the right car . Take it to a garage park it inside , get out and wait to fail the race , then save and it is saved in your garage.
Great job. I'm sure most of us could take some high poly wheels with a detailed texture. Could you make the tread 3d?
The Tumbler you have could easily look like the one pictured above. Please use high resolution textures on your final version. The front tires match up pretty well though. It looks great as it is. Get the reflections down right and other fine details and it will be superb. I used the Keaton Batmobile in Vice as my supercar that could go 600 mph. I'm probably going to do it to this.
One question. Do you think that the car you are replacing it with, the Phoenix, has custom engine sounds that only it uses? I would definately like to get the Tumbler SFX in the game if possible.
This is the mod I've been waiting for all summer and in my fav orite game!
I have a couple of suggestions that would easily improve on this awsome vehicle mod.
The model is a littel to big, the car is about 1/3 bigger than it is in real life, and makes it hard to squeeze through traffic.
The other thing is the collision file, but you havent done that yet I know. The front wheels ride up and "jump" off everything, which is awsome in its own right. Ive done some awsome jumps and crashes just hitting traffic. But it would be cool to have a version collision detection in front of the wheels so it is able to push cars and not ride on the cars, the game is weird when tires drive over another car.
I also edited the handling further, giving the car more durable body and larger mass and top speed. It now climbs almost 70degree inclines on any surface
Solway: You haven't replaced the DFF and TXD files properly. Check your gta3.img again, maybe you didn't rename the original phoenix files, something like that.
Killerhurdz: You didn't replace the handling data. The handling data contains information that makes the game alter the width of the wheels (I did this so you'd get wide tire treadmarks - if I hadn't, the wheels would be the right width without using this data, but the skidmarks would be far too thin).
